Marine Basic First Aid meets Transport Canada requirements for crew members on commercial vessels operating near-shore, as well as recreational sailors and boaters looking for specialized marine safety preparation.

Cold Water & Hypothermia
Understanding the physiological effects of immersion, cold shock, and staging rewarming protocols.
Marine Evacuations
Coordinating with search & rescue, preparing patients for hoist or vessel-to-vessel transfers.
Drowning & Respiratory Rescue
Specialized response to drowning victims, rescue breathing, and oxygen therapy introduction.
Shipboard Injury Care
Splinting, dressings, spinal management, and burns, tailored to compact vessel interiors.

How Blended Study Works
We offer blended courses to respect your schedule and maximize hands-on practice.Prefer a traditional format? We still offer full, multi-day In-Person courses for students who want more face-to-face instruction and extended time in the classroom.
Online Theory (8 hours)
Complete approximately 8 hours of marine-focused online theory at home. Learn the core safety concepts at your own pace before coming to class.
Hands-on Practice
Join us in Kentville for 1 full day of active boat-simulator and hands-on drills. Practice cold-water wraps, vessel evacuations, and CPR in a realistic setting.
