Teach first aid with BraveHeart

  • Canadian Red Cross first aid and CPR courses
  • Kentville, Wolfville, Bridgetown, Annapolis Royal, Bridgewater, Shelburne, Yarmouth and Middle Sackville
  • Already certified, or we cover the instructor course for the right candidate

We are adding dates across the Valley and the South Shore and need more instructors.

What a teaching day is

You teach. We handle the rest.

A class runs one or two full days, weekdays and weekends, at one of our venues. You teach the course, run the skills practice and sign off the skills sheets. We book the room, fill the class, supply the manikins and kit, handle every registration and file the certificates with the Red Cross.

We pay by the teaching day and go through the rate with you.

Two ways in

Certified already, or ready to become an instructor

You hold a Canadian Red Cross instructor certificate

Tell us where you have taught and when your certificate expires. We put you on the roster and pair you with one of our instructors for your first class.

You would take the course

You are 18 or older, you hold a current Standard First Aid with CPR-C, and you are comfortable in front of a room. For the right candidate we cover the Red Cross instructor course, and you co-teach your first classes with one of our instructors. What we ask in return is availability: enough open weekdays and weekends through the year that the course pays for itself in classes taught.

A healthcare background is not required. Nurses, paramedics, teachers, coaches, firefighters, and people who took our course and liked it all make good instructors.
