If you choose the blended course, your online course modules will be sent to you electronically. Both options meet Transport Canada’s standards.
Are Marine Basic First Aid Courses Taught on the Water?
No, our courses are not taught on the water. They are delivered in a classroom with realistic, hands-on training to prepare you for emergencies at sea. You will learn to assess vital signs and how to make the most of first aid kits and equipment to hand on a boat, when rescue teams aren't around to help. You’ll gain the skills needed to respond effectively in any marine setting.
Receive Your Canadian Red Cross Certification Electronically
Once you have completed and passed your marine basic first aid training, you will receive your certificate electronically from the Canadian Red Cross. This is the case whether you choose to do our two-day in-person training course or our blended in-person and online course. You will have instant digital access to your certification, which is valid for 3 years.
