rECEIVE YOUR 3-YEAR RED CROSS CERTIFICATION ELECTRONICALLY

Upon successfully achieving a passing grade, you'll receive your certification from The Red Cross as an official e-certificate. This 3-year certification is valid and recognized throughout Nova Scotia, and can be easily shared or printed as needed.

  • These terms are often used interchangeably, but generally refer to the same comprehensive 2-day Canadian Red Cross course. It's the next level up from Emergency or Basic First Aid, covering a wider range of injuries and medical emergencies and providing a more in-depth curriculum.

  • Our intermediate first aid courses are extremely competitively priced. The cost varies depending on whether you need to recertify or are taking the course for the very first time. Our friendly customer service team are always available to help walk you through pricing and to help you choose the perfect course for you.

  • Barveheart HQ is conveniently located in Kentville, Nova Scotia, but with our blended learning courses, it's easier than ever to access our courses. You can enjoy the convenience of doing half of your course from wherever you are located in NS!

  • Your Intermediate (Standard) First Aid certificate remains valid for three years from the date of completion. This certification is recognized and accepted for workplace requirements across all of Canada.

  • Yes, you can choose the blended learning option. This involves completing approximately six to eight hours of online modules, followed by one full day of in-person practical training and evaluation.

  • Yes, if your certificate is still valid, you can take an abbreviated one-day recertification course. However, if your certificate has expired, you will be required to take the full two-day course again.

  • Yes, this course fully meets the workplace requirements in Nova Scotia. It complies with the rigorous CSA Standard Z1210 for first aid training and Nova Scotia OHS standards.
