A Supportive, Hands-On Training Day

WHO IT’S FOR

Designed for youth ages 11–17 who can focus, follow instructions, and perform the physical skills taught. No prior experience is needed. This course is ideal for teens who are ready for more responsibility and want to feel prepared to help at home, at school, or in the community.

WHAT TO EXPECT ON COURSE DAY

group activities, and realistic scenarios that help the skills stay with them. Throughout the day, instructors offer individual feedback and supportive, low-pressure evaluations so every participant feels capable, comfortable, and confident by the end.

CERTIFICATION & BOOKING

All participants receive a BraveHeart Youth First Aid Certificate of Completion. Those who meet Canadian Red Cross standards earn the Canadian Red Cross Basic First Aid & CPR C certification, valid for three years and recognized nationwide.

Every class starts at 9:00 AM. Pick your date. We'll handle everything else.

7 hours of teaching time (one full day)

Frequently Asked Questions

    • Comfortable clothes they can move in, indoor shoes or socks, a lunch and snacks, and a water bottle. We provide all training materials. Phones stay on silent during class.

    • No experience needed—just focus, curiosity, and a willingness to learn. Everything is taught step by step in a supportive environment.

    • Doors open at 8:45 a.m. and the course begins at 9:00 a.m. sharp. Training runs for about 7 hours, including breaks and lunch.

    • Our instructors are patient and flexible. If your teen has a learning need, physical limitation, or anxiety about participation, let us know ahead of time or arrive a few minutes early so we can make adjustments.

    • Full attendance is required for certification. If you’re running late, text us at (902) 670-1383. To reschedule, please contact us at least 48 hours before class.
